Aubin is a grape variety commonly found in the vineyards of Lorraine. Rozérieulles, Bruley or Buligny have a few plantations of it. The green variety of this grape variety is one of the 16 grape varieties resulting from a cross between pinot noir and gouais blanc. White, chalky deposits that occur as a result of precipitation inside bottles and are often considered by consumers as a defect. They are in fact tartaric salts formed by tartaric acid, potassium and calcium naturally present in the wine.
