Structured, aromatic dry whites with a pale golden colour, an ample palate and preserved acidity, showing refined aromas of citrus (lemon, orange), yellow fruits (pear, peach), white flowers (acacia) and schistous mineral notes. Fine ageing and cellaring potential. An essential component of the great whites of Douro DOC and white Port. The wine region of Bekaa Valley

Lebanese high-altitude valley (~1,000 m), ~6,000 years of winegrowing, ~90% of the country's wine. Complex, age-worthy reds with signature notes of black cherry, blackberry, garrigue, leather, cedar, oriental spices and a balsamic touch, firm tannins and long ageing — Cabernet for backbone, supple Cinsault, dense Carignan, fruity Grenache, peppery Syrah. Native whites Merwah and Obaideh, taut and mineral. Iconic Chateau Musar.

The word of the wine: Bordeaux barrel

Barrels of 220 to 225 litres. The toasting of the barrel to bend the staves (curved boards used to make the barrels) can vary according to the coopers and the demand. A gentle and slow toasting has little effect on the aromas. On the other hand, a strong toasting gives aromas of coffee or cocoa which will influence the taste of the wine. A wine barrel has already been aged for a year and has less impact on the wine than a new barrel.
