It can also be found in Canada, Ukraine, Russia, etc. and is virtually unknown in France.

The wine region of Alta Langa is located in the region of Piémont of Italy. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Enrico Serafino or the Domaine Contratto produce mainly wines sparkling and pink.
