In Bordeaux, it was used in the production of vins clairets and was present in the Loire Valley where today it is only used in the AOC Touraine and Rosé d'Anjou. The wine region of Mittelburgenland is located in the region of Burgenland of Weinland of Austria. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Gesellmann or the Domaine Gesellmann produce mainly wines red, white and pink.
