Discover the grape variety: Panse muscade

Table grape with long clusters and aromatic golden berries with thin skin, sweet and typically musky in flavour. Mediterranean aromatic profile. Now almost extinct, historically grown for fresh consumption, preserved in varietal collections for its heritage value. A rare French white variety, a musky mutation of the Panse grape with characteristic muscat fragrance.

The wine region of Texas

5th US producer with a Mediterranean style suited to the heat. Signature Tempranillo as red: fleshy and fruity with notes of ripe cherry, plum and sweet spices, round tannins. Also dense Tannat, spicy Mourvèdre, juicy Sangiovese, peppery Syrah. Suited aromatic whites: full Viognier (apricot, flowers), saline Vermentino, lively Albariño.

The word of the wine: Consistency

In tasting, it is the equivalent of chewing (the chewiness of a tannic red wine is also mentioned). We then speak of firmness, fluidity, softness, hardness, and why not the crunchiness of an early wine by reference to the grape.
