Romagnan DOC (1997) on the hills of Ravenna and Forlì around Brisighella and Faenza, clay-limestone soils. Sangiovese is the red king: ruby with intense cherry, raspberry, violet and floral-spicy hint, balanced tannins and persistent finish. Trebbiano as lively white with white flowers and green apple. Pinot Bianco, Chardonnay and Pignoletto as complements.
