The Lafond Estate is located in the southern Rhone Valley in France. It is a family-run operation that dates back to 1862, with a constant care for the land and quality of the wines they have passed down to this day. The estate is part of several vineyard owners in the valley and owns a total of nearly 35 hectares of vineyards. These lands are located on clayey and stony soils, in different microclimates that give them specific characteristics. The estate's terroir is ideal for the cultivation of Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre, allowing for the production of complex and high-quality red wines. The estate is characterized by the use of biodynamic techniques and the adoption of the most environmentally friendly farming practices possible. The vines are planted with low densities and are closely monitored on the ground to identify and mitigate the stress that the vines may experience. This practice aims to achieve high-quality wines that reflect the terroirs from which they originate. With its range of wines that includes reds, whites, and rosés, the Lafond Estate offers deep flavors and unique aromas. Their range of cult red wines includes the mythical Gigondas, the Baron de Faugeres, and the designer Roc de Cambac. Other exceptional wines are available in white and rosé, including the famous Cotes du Rhone village Crouse-les-Beaumes, the Blanc de Faugeres, and the Saint Esprit Rosé. The estate also offers guided tours of its vineyards for the curious and produces local olive oils and honey under its name. Products are available online. The aim of the Lafond Estate is to maintain and develop the overall quality and diversity of the products they produce - respecting both tradition and their environment.
