Trentino-Alto Adige is Italy's northernmost wine region, located right on the border with Austria. Production was once dominated by the local red varieties Lagrein and Schiava. Reflecting its Complex geopolitical history, Trentino-Alto Adige is composed of two autonomous provinces.
