The Château Verdignan is a vineyard located in Haut-Médoc, France. The property is situated on the slopes of Listrac-Médoc & Margaux and enjoys an exceptional terroir. It covers a total of 33 hectares of vineyards, twenty of which are dedicated to growing Cabernet Sauvignon. The soils are composed of clay, conducive for the vinification of the Cabernet Sauvignons grown there. The optimal exposure of these vines allows them to take full advantage of the sunlight for their maturation. Château Verdignan is a family business that was launched by Mr. Fernand Charvin and his wife Louise in 1938. The Charvin family has made the vineyard a prime example of the terroir for over 80 years. The couple passed on their passion for wine to the new generation working today at Château Verdignan. The most modern vinification techniques are eco-friendly, employing regenerative biology-based processes. The vineyard produces very fragrant and fresh wines characterized by a certain complexity and very intense maturity, with aromas of black fruit and plum. Château Verdignan is ideal for pairing with gastronomic dishes based on fish, white meat, and cheese.
