Château Pichon Baron is a second growth classified winery located in Pauillac, within the prestigious Bordeaux vineyard in France. The estate extends over more than 90 hectares and comprises vineyards, the majority of which were planted after the phylloxera. The vine composition includes a high proportion of cabernet sauvignon (65%), complemented by merlot (30%) and cabernet franc (5%). The various plots of the estate offer a variety of microclimates, allowing the vines to produce very complex grapes. The clay and sandy-clay soil provides a unique quality to the essence of the Château Pichon Baron wine. The wine produced on the estate is under the name of Château Pichon Baron, and received the title of second growth in 1855. Its dense and ripe fruit, complemented by a tannic structure and an oaky flavor, is a perfect example of what one can expect from a high-quality wine.
