The Larmandier-Bernier Estate is a vineyard located in Champagne, France. Situated in the sun-kissed village of Vertus at the extreme tip of the Marne hillside, the estate covers an area of 23 hectares, on the slopes of the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims. This family estate operated by the Larmandier brothers, Pierre and Michel, is one of the most notable centers of biodynamics in Champagne. The estate has a wide variety of diversified terroirs, some richer in limestone sand soils, others richer in clays. A wide variety of exposures and altitudes are also present, which allows the vines to express their unique and varied characteristics. The main grape varieties that are cultivated are Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, which are famous for their different flavor profiles. The estate is entirely cultivated in biodynamics, which allows it to optimally capture the richness and variety of the terroir and local microclimates. The methods adopted are the same as those used by previous generations, with minimal intervention and implementation of the principles of biodynamics. Old traditions and technical advances are complementary, allowing the production of quality wines. The wines produced by the estate are known for their rich variety of complex flavors. Sparkling wines, still wines and late harvest wines are available to cater to consumers' tastes. The wines from the estate are particularly popular in the region. The range of wines offers intense and complex flavors, fruity notes, balanced tannins and a touch of minerality.

Discovering the wine region of Champagne

Champagne is the name of the world's most famous Sparkling wine, the appellation under which it is sold and the French wine region from which it comes. Although it has been used to refer to sparkling wines around the world - a point of controversy and legal wrangling in recent decades - Champagne is a legally controlled and restricted name. See the labels of Champagne wines. The fame and success of Champagne is, of course, the product of many Complex factors.

Yet there are three main reasons we can be reasonably certain of. First, the large bubbles, which distinguish it from less "exciting" wines. Second, the high prices that champagne commands, which give it a sense of exclusivity and uniqueness. Third, two centuries of clever marketing to a willing and very receptive consumer base.
