Simple, fresh dry whites with a pale golden robe, a supple palate with preserved acidity, and undemonstrative aromas of citrus and white flowers – a less distinctive profile than Petite Arvine. More productive. Almost absent from commercial cultivation, preserved in Valaisan variety collections for its heritage value and ampelographic interest. A rare Valaisan white grape, cousin of Petite Arvine, grown in negligible quantities in Valais.

Sardinian DOC (1981) from the mountainous centre of the island (Nuoro, Oristano), high-altitude vineyards in a dry continental climate. Bovale Sardo (≥35%) dominates: deep colour, intense red fruit, powerful polyphenols and a spiced note, firm tannins. Cannonau (20–35%) adds suppleness, Monica aromatic complexity. Also as rosato.

Signature Cannonau (Grenache) in red: warm and deep with signature ripe cherry, garrigue, myrtle, spice and a balsamic touch, round tannins and a sun-drenched palate. Also dense Carignan, supple Monica, lively Nuragus, rare oxidative Vernaccia di Oristano.
