Carménère is a grape variety of Bordeaux origin. It is the result of a cross between Cabernet Franc and Gros Cabernet. Corbières is an important appellation in the Languedoc-roussillon">Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France. It is one of the best known and most productive appellations in the Languedoc.
