Nashik is India's most prolific wine-producing area, located some 135 kilomteters (85 miles) North-east of Mumbai in the state of Maharashtra. Grape varieties used include Cabernet Sauvignon, Chenin Blanc, Shiraz and Sauvignon Blanc.
