The wine region of Markopoulo is located in the region of Attiki of Continental Greece of Greece. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Papagiannakos or the Domaine Papagiannakos produce mainly wines white, red and pink. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Markopoulo are Savatiano, Cabernet-Sauvignon and Assyrtiko, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Markopoulo often reveals types of flavors of pineapple, microbio or stone fruit and sometimes also flavors of honey, melon or straw.
We currently count 3 estates and châteaux in the of Markopoulo, producing 10 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Markopoulo go well with generally quite well with dishes of beef, lamb or spicy food.
