GI sub-region (1997) of the Lower Hunter (NSW) crossed by the Fordwich Sill — a plug of red volcanic clay from ancient underground eruptions. Semillon as the flagship with a citrus-forward profile, less herbaceous, more citrus and leaner than Lovedale, with long bottle ageing. Shiraz as complement.
