An intraspecific cross between pinot noir and cinsaut called hermitage, obtained in South Africa in 1925 by Professor Abraham Izak Perold. The wine region of Swartland is located in the region of Coastal Region of Western Cape of South Africa. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Sadie Family or the Domaine Sadie Family produce mainly wines red, white and pink.
