Simple, fresh dry whites with a pale golden robe, a supple palate with moderate acidity, and understated aromas of citrus and white flowers. Discreet, rustic profile. Preserved in a few ampelographic collections for its heritage value, this ancient variety has virtually disappeared from commercial cultivation and is studied for its genetic and historical interest.

The wine region of Buenos Aires

Argentine Atlantic coast province (Médanos, Chapadmalal, Sierra de la Ventana), renaissance since 2000 in contrast to the powerful Andean reds, temperate oceanic climate. Malbec is king in an atypical red: fresh and elegant with notes of cherry, raspberry, violet, herbs and a saline maritime touch, fine tannins — far more airy than Mendoza. Firm Cabernet Sauvignon and silky Pinot Noir as complements. Crisp Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling in whites.

The wine region of Patagonia

Argentina's wine frontier, cool continental climate at low altitude (~200 m), strong natural acidity. Signature Pinot Noir, now a regional emblem: fine, silky reds with signature notes of tart cherry, raspberry, wild strawberry, undergrowth, violet and sweet spices, delicate tannins and taut freshness — a southern Burgundian style. Also Malbec fresher than in the north, round Merlot. Taut Sémillon, Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Riesling whites.

The word of the wine: Cornalin

Black grape variety native to the Valais (Switzerland). It produces renowned wines of a dark purple colour with violet hues, an elegant bouquet and a powerful, fresh, fruity (cherry) and spicy palate. Cornalin wines can be drunk young or after several years of ageing, with game.
