Structured, aromatic dry whites with a pale golden robe, an ample palate and preserved acidity, with signature aromas of yellow fruits (pear, peach, apricot), white flowers (acacia), citrus and herbaceous notes. Fine barrel-ageing potential, a qualitative diversification among the great modern white Riojas. Grown in Rioja DOCa, authorised in 2007. A white-skinned mutation of Tempranillo discovered by chance in 1988.

The wine region of Podgorica

Wine capital of Montenegro (~57% of producers), Bojana valley 45 km from the Adriatic, Mediterranean climate. Signature Vranac as red king (50% of vineyard, indigenous national variety): deep and powerful with notes of black blackberry, candied cherry, plum, chocolate, tobacco, leather and spices, firm tannins and solar palate — country's identity. White grape variety of Italian origin, and the main white variety grown in France. Its large bunches give fine, light and lively wines, suitable for distillation: today it is the main variety for making cognac and armagnac. Ugni blanc, which is a little richer in alcohol when grown in Mediterranean regions, is used in the blending of the Provence and Corsica appellations, often in association with other grape varieties that bring aromas and structure, such as clairette, grenache blanc or sauvignon.
