The wine region of Guerrouane
Moroccan AOG at the foot of the Middle Atlas near Meknes (~550 m), sandy-clay-limestone soils, altitude-tempered climate. Carignan, Grenache and Cinsault signature Mediterranean reds (renowned Chergui cuvees): colourful and warm with notes of blackberry, black cherry, stewed plum, garrigue, pepper, round tannins and sunny fruit. Tempranillo, Syrah, Cabernet complement. Clairette, Sauvignon, Ugni Blanc in fresh whites.
