Ionian PGI (1996) on the island of Corfu facing Albania, mild and unusually rainy climate for Greece, limestone and marl soils. Kakotrygis is the ancestral signature autochthon (≥60%, cited by Thucydides c. 400 BC) and king white: pale yellow robe, lively and aromatic with citrus, white flowers, tropical fruits and a Mediterranean herbal touch.
