Simple, fresh dry whites with a pale golden robe, a supple palate and moderate acidity. Understated aromas of citrus and Pyrenean white flowers. Rustic, airy profile. Almost extinct, preserved in INRAE varietal collections; it reflects the pre-phylloxera viticultural heritage of south-west France and is among the ancient varieties under study. A native white grape from France, once grown in Béarn and Tursan.

The wine region of Corfu
Ionian PGI (1996) on the island of Corfu facing Albania, mild and unusually rainy climate for Greece, limestone and marl soils. Kakotrygis is the ancestral signature autochthon (≥60%, cited by Thucydides c. 400 BC) and king white: pale yellow robe, lively and aromatic with citrus, white flowers, tropical fruits and a Mediterranean herbal touch. Petrokoritho as a complementary white.

Robola of Cephalonia is the indigenous signature white — taut and mineral with bright citrus, lemon, green apple, white flowers and a flint-saline note from limestone altitude (Mount Ainos), brilliant acidity.
