AVA (1981) in southern Lake County (California), isolated 15 miles north of Calistoga — sixth American AVA: Petite Sirah as signature with clove, cocoa, tobacco and deep blue berries, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Carmenère and Malbec as complements.
