Discover the grape variety: Trebbiano di Soave

Lively and structured dry whites with a pale golden colour, slender palate and preserved acidity, with signature aromas of almond (hallmark), white flowers (acacia), citrus, white stone fruit (apple) and mineral notes. An airy and taut profile. Traditional component of Soave DOC, contributing to the aromatic richness of great Venetian whites. Genetically identical to Verdicchio delle Marche, an Italian white variety grown in Veneto around Soave.

The wine region of Château-Chalon

Ultra-exclusive Jura AOC (~60 ha, 250–400 m, steep south-west slopes, Liassic clay-limestone marls): exclusive Savagnin in the signature amber vin jaune — penetrating aromas of walnut, apple, candied fruits, curry (sotolon), gentle spices and saline minerality, exceptionally persistent finish. Aged under voile for at least 6 years 3 months in unsealed barrels, bottled in a 62 cl clavelin. Near-centennial longevity, Benedictine heritage.

The wine region of Jura

Unique Franche-Comté region between Burgundy and Switzerland, incomparable oxidative identity. Signature mythical Vin Jaune from Savagnin: aged 6 years 3 months in cask under flor, intense whites with signature green walnut, curry, cumin, russet apple, honey and lingering iodine — 62 cl clavelin, century-long ageing. Also classic topped-up Chardonnay (citrus, butter), pale light Poulsard red (strawberry, undergrowth), dense Trousseau, fine Pinot Noir. Sweet Vin de Paille.

The word of the wine: Pommadé

Said of a wine that is unbalanced, pasty, syrupy, and whose excessive sugar content gives an impression of heaviness.
