It is grown only in the Arve Valley, in the communes of Marignier, Ayze and Bonneville, covering a total area of approximately 22 hectares. Nahe is one of the smaller German wine regions, named after the Nahe river which joins the Rhein at Rheinhessen/bingen">Bingen.
