The Parc Saint Charles Estate is an exceptional vineyard, located in the southern Rhône region of France. It is an idyllic corner of the French countryside, where generous vines bask in the sun and thrive in a Mediterranean climate. This unique Estate gets its name from the vast private park surrounding the property, a lush and verdant space of pines, oaks, and olive trees, where the song of cicadas accompanies the patient and meticulous work of the winemakers. It's a tranquil and serene oasis of beauty, far from the hustle and bustle of the city, where nature is always queen. The Parc Saint Charles Estate spans 20 hectares of vineyards, worked in a sustainable agriculture manner to produce a high-quality wine. The old and well-rooted vines benefit from the unique composition of the soil - a mix of sandstone, limestone, and rounded pebbles - to develop complex and distinct aromas. The variety of grape types is wide, with a predominance of Grenache, the king of the southern Rhône, as well as Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Cinsault for the reds, and Viognier and White Grenache for the whites. The Estate's wine production is characterized by its excellent quality and its wide diversity. The range of wines offers powerful and structured reds, fruity and balanced rosés, as well as delicately fragrant whites. Each wine bears the mark of the terroir and the imprint of human hand, the result of a successful marriage between tradition and innovation. The property also houses a magnificent 19th-century château, fully restored and furnished as holiday homes, offering a panoramic view over the park and the surrounding vineyards.

Discover the grape variety: Marsanne

Marsanne is a white grape variety that originated in Montélimar in the Drôme, several centuries ago. Marsanne is also found in Cassis, Savoie, Languedoc-Roussillon and Saint-Péray in the Ardèche, where it produces remarkable sparkling wines. The warm, sunny climate of the Rhone Valley, Languedoc-Roussillon and Provence, as well as the dry, stony soil, are ideal conditions for its development. Its bunches are quite large and provide small, juicy berries that are sensitive to grey rot and strong winds. These two grape varieties complement each other perfectly: together they give light wines with little acidity, aromas of yellow fruit, white fruit and flowers with notes of honey and liquorice. This is for example what the appellations Saint-Péray, Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, Côtes-du-Vallée du Rhône, Corbières, or Cassis express... which represent about 700 hectares.
