Blended with peppery Syrah, deep Mourvèdre, supple Cinsault. Flagship crus: Châteauneuf-du-Pape on rolled pebbles (powerful, age-worthy), Gigondas, dense Vacqueyras, fleshy Tavel rosé, sweet muscat Beaumes-de-Venise.
