Discovering the wine region of Aguascalientes

The wine region of Aguascalientes is located in the region of Center of Mexico. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Santa Elena or the Domaine Santa Elena produce mainly wines red, white and pink. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Aguascalientes are Malbec, Merlot and Tempranillo, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Aguascalientes often reveals types of flavors of oak, red fruit or black fruit and sometimes also flavors of dried fruit, tree fruit or non oak.

In the mouth of Aguascalientes is a powerful with a nice freshness. We currently count 17 estates and châteaux in the of Aguascalientes, producing 66 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Aguascalientes go well with generally quite well with dishes of pork, game (deer, venison) or rich fish (salmon, tuna etc).
