The wine region of Mediterranean

Vast multi-country wine region bordering the Mediterranean (Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Maghreb, Levant), temperate climate with hot dry summers and mild winters — the historic cradle of wine. Generous, sun-drenched reds from Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Sangiovese, Tempranillo, Nero d'Avola, Agiorgitiko: full-bodied with ripe red and dark fruits, garrigue, herbs, spices and a mineral note. Vermentino, Albariño and Assyrtiko whites: crisp and saline.

The word of the wine: Residual sugars

Sugars not transformed into alcohol and naturally present in the wine. The perception of residual sugars is conditioned by the acidity of the wine. The more acidic the wine is, the less sweet it will seem, given the same amount of sugar.
