The Alpha Box & Dice Estate is an exceptional vineyard located in the heart of the picturesque McLaren Vale wine region in Australia. Established in 2008, the vineyard is now renowned for its diversity of unique wines, producing an "alphabet map" of wines, with a variety of grapes for each letter of the alphabet. The estate is nestled among the gentle rolling hills of the region that provide ideal conditions for viticulture. The proximity of the ocean brings a refreshing breeze that tempers the hot climate of South Australia, allowing the grapes to ripen to perfection. The mineral-rich soil also contributes to the unique character of each bottle produced at the Alpha Box & Dice Estate. The vineyard is spread over about twenty hectares, where different grape varieties are grown including Zinfandel, Tempranillo, Nebbiolo, and Grenache. Their philosophy is to produce wines that demonstrate a clear expression of terroir, with minimal intervention during the winemaking process to allow the true nature of the wine to shine. This estate is particularly appreciated for its innovative approach to winemaking and its willingness to push traditional wine boundaries. It was one of the first in the region to explore less common grape varieties and experiment with new winemaking techniques. The experience of visiting the Alpha Box & Dice Estate is no less impressive than their wines. Their wine cellar is a welcoming and friendly tasting space, featuring a rustic wooden bar and an outdoor terrace with stunning views of the surrounding vineyards. It's the perfect place to taste a selection of their wines while enjoying the Australian landscape.
