Utah is a state in the American West, bordering Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, Wyoming and Arizona. It has a small wine industry, as well as more well-known distilleries and breweries. There are now a handful of distilleries and more than two dozen craft breweries, which collectively employ about 5,000 people. Park City's High West Distillery was founded in 2006, becoming Utah's first legal still since 1870.
