The wine region of Costa de Cantabria is located in the region of Cantabrie of Spain. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Casona Micaela or the Domaine Behetría de Cieza produce mainly wines white. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Costa de Cantabria are Albarino, Riesling and Verdejo, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Costa de Cantabria often reveals types of flavors of citrus, apples or peach and sometimes also flavors of green apple, minerality or lemon.
In the mouth of Costa de Cantabria is a powerful with a nice freshness. We currently count 5 estates and châteaux in the of Costa de Cantabria, producing 9 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Costa de Cantabria go well with generally quite well with dishes of pork, rich fish (salmon, tuna etc) or shellfish.
