The wine region of Madeirense is located in the region of Terras Madeirenses of Portugal. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Atlantis or the Domaine Ilha produce mainly wines pink, white and red. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Madeirense are Verdelho, Touriga nacional and Cabernet-Sauvignon, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Madeirense often reveals types of flavors of earth, oak or citrus fruit and sometimes also flavors of red fruit, tree fruit or tropical fruit.
In the mouth of Madeirense is a with a nice freshness. We currently count 6 estates and châteaux in the of Madeirense, producing 18 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Madeirense go well with generally quite well with dishes of pasta, pork or shellfish.
