The wine region of North West Victoria is located in the region of Victoria of Australia. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Savaterre or the Domaine Savaterre produce mainly wines red and white. The most planted grape varieties in the region of North West Victoria are Chardonnay, Pinot noir and Chenin blanc, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of North West Victoria often reveals types of flavors of non oak, earth or oak and sometimes also flavors of spices, red fruit or black fruit.
In the mouth of North West Victoria is a powerful with a nice freshness. We currently count 6 estates and châteaux in the of North West Victoria, producing 10 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. R&B Distillers, operator of the Isle of Raasay Distillery, plans to open The Machrihanish Distillery at Dhurrie Farm, Machrihanish, as a ‘farm-to-bottle’ single malt distillery, along with a visitor centre and whisky club.
