The wine region of Southern Tasmania is located in the region of Tasmanie of Australia. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Frogmore Creek or the Domaine Frogmore Creek produce mainly wines red, white and sparkling. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Southern Tasmania are Pinot noir, Chardonnay and Cabernet-Sauvignon, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Southern Tasmania often reveals types of flavors of cream, vegetal or cheese and sometimes also flavors of dark fruit, cola or cedar.
In the mouth of Southern Tasmania is a with a nice freshness. We currently count 5 estates and châteaux in the of Southern Tasmania, producing 12 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Southern Tasmania go well with generally quite well with dishes of beef, veal or game (deer, venison).
