Sub-AVA Willow Creek District of Paso Robles (2014, ~1,400 acres) at 960–1,900 ft: signature Rhône varieties — Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre — plus Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon. Fragrant wines with ripe tannins and powerful structures, aromatic elegance at the nose and richness on the palate. Broadly calcareous soils with pockets of alluvial clay-loam. Templeton Gap allows Pacific influence; 24–30 in annual rainfall.
