Discover the grape variety: Lercat
Most certainly Pyrenean of Jurançonnais more precisely. It has long been confused with the lauzet, although its leaves are somewhat different. It is practically no longer present in the vineyards, which means that it is clearly on the way out. Published genetic analyses have revealed that it is related to one or more grape varieties, including Courbu Blanc. The wine region of Ferguson Valley
Ferguson Valley is an emerging Australian wine district within the official Geographe wine region of Western Australia. Located just inland from the Indian Ocean coast, this sunny valley is cooled and moistened by sea breezes during hot summer afternoons, allowing it to produce Powerful wines of unusual complexity. Located immediately North of the Blackwood Valley and the famous Margaret River, the land is surrounded by some of the most established vineyards in Western Australia. That said, 'established' here only means 30 or 40 years, as the region's wine-making potential was only really recognised in the 1970s.
The wine region of Australie de l'Ouest
Western Australia is the largest of Australia's eight administrative areas and territories. In 2020, it accounted for only 2% of the nation's wine production, but has already produced up to 20% of the country's fine wines. Covering the entire western third of the vast island-continent, "WA" (as it is commonly known) stretches 1,600 kilometres (1,000 miles) from east to west. This makes it the second largest administrative subdivision of any country in the world, larger than Alaska and Texas combined.
The word of the wine: Virile
Said of a robust, full-bodied wine and, in general, of wines reputed to be powerful in reference to masculine virility.
