The wine region of Ferguson Valley
Sub-region of Geographe (Western Australia) in the hills south of Bunbury, sandy and granitic soils, altitude 300 m, maritime climate with cool nights. Shiraz is the signature red: elegant and spicy with notes of red and black fruits, pepper, dark chocolate, and a floral touch, fine tannins. Chardonnay is the signature white: taut and mineral with notes of citrus, golden apple, and a lightly toasted touch. Cabernet, Tempranillo, Semillon, and Sauvignon Blanc as complements.
The wine region of Australie de l'Ouest
Australian premium on Margaret River. Signature Bordeaux Cabernet-Merlot blends in red: deep and refined with notes of ripe blackcurrant, eucalyptus, cedar and graphite, firm tannins and great ageing, often compared to Médoc. Chardonnay rated Australia's best: taut, saline and mineral (lemon, hazelnut, brioche). Lively Sauvignon-Sémillon (citrus, cut grass).
The word of the wine: Aragnan
A very rare white grape variety that can be found in the blends of the Palette appellation (Provence).
