Léon Millot noir is a grape variety that originated in France (Alsace). It is a variety resulting from a cross of the same species (interspecific hybridization). It produces a variety of grape specially used for wine making. It is rare to find this grape to eat on our tables. This variety of grape is characterized by small bunches, and grapes of small size. The wine region of Vino da Tavola

Vino da Tavola was the most basic classification of Italian wines. It is now renamed simply "Vino" and appears on labels as Vino d'Italia. The original name literally means "table wine" as opposed to premium wines from specific geographical locations (see EU wine label). In May 2011, the first legal steps were taken to abolish the Vino da Tavola category, in favor of a New classification of wines called simply Vino.

The word of the wine: Old vines

There are no specific regulations governing the term "vieilles vignes". After 20 to 25 years, the yields stabilize and tend to decrease, the vines are deeply rooted, and the grapes that come from them give richer, more concentrated, more sappy wines, expressing with more nuance the characteristics of their terroir. It is possible to find plots of vines that claim to be a century old.
