Rolle is a white grape variety of Turkish origin that has become established in the South of France, particularly in the Var region, in Corsica under the name of Vermentinu, and in Italy. Pfalz is a key wine producing region in western Germany, located between the Rhein/Rhine river and the low-lying Haardt mountain range (a natural continuation of the Alsatian Vosges).
