This variety is said to be the result of a natural cross between folle blanche and ugni blanc. Tokaj (formerly Tokaj-Hegyalja) has Long been Hungary's most famous and respected wine region, thanks mostly to its nectar-like, botrytized Tokaji dessert wines.
