Disease-resistant interspecific variety (mildew, powdery mildew and botrytis), driving organic vineyards in northern Europe: Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium and UK. German hybrid created in 1983 in Freiburg (cabernet sauvignon × bronner).

Young Nordic vineyard in full expansion thanks to warming (~175 ha in 2022), four IGPs: Bornholm, Funen, Jutland, Zealand. Cool temperate climate, resistant PIWI hybrid varieties. Solaris star (>60% of production): white at 13° with green apple, citrus, gooseberry, white flowers and cut herbs, vivid acidity recalling New Zealand Sauvignon. Also fruity Rondo and Regent reds, supple Léon Millot, firm Cabernet Cortis.
