The wine region of Kallstadt
Village in northern Palatinate, renowned for the Saumagen (VDP Grosse Lage), a south-facing amphitheatre on burning limestone soils. Riesling is the signature white — dry and full-bodied with intense white flowers, mandarin zest, grapefruit and a pronounced mineral-saline edge, racy acidity and exceptional ageing.
