The diversity of landscapes here – from rainy islands to desert-like valley floors – means that a wide variety of Grapes are planted here. While volumes are lower than those of the province of Ontario, British Columbia is home to a rapidly growing wine industry.
The word of the wine: Consistency
In tasting, it is the equivalent of chewing (the chewiness of a tannic red wine is also mentioned). We then speak of firmness, fluidity, softness, hardness, and why not the crunchiness of an early wine by reference to the grape.
