Discover the grape variety: Madeleine angevine

Aromatic, fresh dry whites with a pale hue, a supple palate and preserved acidity, with delicate notes of light muscat, citrus, white flowers, apple and florals. Thirst-quenching, drink young. Very early-ripening variety suited to northern climates: a quiet star of modern English wines, also grown in the Pacific Northwest and Anjou. Hybrid created in 1857 by Moreau-Robert in Anjou (madeleine royale × précoce de Malingre).

The wine region of Carso

Friulian DOC (1985) on the karst plateau between Trieste and Slovenia, red ferrous terra rossa and white limestone soils, Bora wind. Vitovska is the signature indigenous white: dry and delicate with pear, sage, stone fruit, floral and saline mineral notes — fresh or macerated "orange" style. Terrano (Refosco family) as the red on terra rossa: deep ruby with wild dark fruit, blood orange and ferrous minerality, cutting acidity.

The wine region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia

Italian benchmark of great whites of elegance and minerality. Emblematic Friulano with notes of fresh almond, pear and white flowers, taut Ribolla Gialla, precise Pinot Grigio, lively Sauvignon and balanced Chardonnay. Rare sweet Picolit (DOCG), saline Malvasia Istriana. Rising reds: fruity spicy Refosco, more tannic Pignolo and Schioppettino.

The word of the wine: Red winemaking

Transformation of grapes into must and wine under the effect of alcoholic fermentation. The vinification of red wines takes place in several stages: destemming, crushing, alcoholic fermentation, vatting, running off and maturing.
