Major wine region of Bulgarian Thrace (2nd largest Bulgarian city, Plovdiv, fertile Thrace plain, red clay terroirs on limestone, favourable temperate climate). Native Mavrud Thracian signature in deep, tannic red king with intense notes of blackberry, cherry, plum, tobacco, spices and racy balsamic touch, dense structure for ageing. Cinsault, Syrah, Cabernet and Merlot in full-bodied reds. Muscat Ottonel and Chardonnay in aromatic whites.
