Discover the grape variety: Jurançon

Light, fruity reds with a pale ruby colour, soft tannins, and an airy palate with moderate acidity, offering red-fruit aromas and herbaceous notes. Productive. Today marginal, surviving in a few heritage parcels in Béarn and Bigorre. Not to be confused with the Jurançon AOC (white wines). A synonym of Jurançon noir, a French black variety native to the South-West.

The wine region of Benaco Bresciano

Lombard IGT on the south-west shore of Lake Garda (~69 ha in 24 communes), micro-Mediterranean climate tempered by the lake. Groppello is the flagship native red of Garda: light and fruity with notes of red cherry, raspberry, dried flowers, spices and a peppery touch, fine tannins and refreshing acidity. Spicy Marzemino, lively Barbera, supple Cabernet and Merlot as complements. Ample Chardonnay and taut Riesling for the whites.

The wine region of Lombardia

Three poles. Franciacorta DOCG, Italy's answer to Champagne: elegant brioche traditional-method sparklers (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc), fine bubble and mineral profile. Alpine Valtellina: Nebbiolo (alias Chiavennasca) with fine tannins and red fruits, powerful Sforzato passito. Oltrepò Pavese: fresh Pinot Noir and fruity-sparkling Bonarda.

The word of the wine: Burned

Qualifier, sometimes equivocal, of various odors, ranging from caramel to burnt wood.
