Also as passito. Star of the Malvasia di Casorzo DOC appellation, producing festive frizzante and passito wines from Piedmont. Black Malvasia variety grown near Casorzo in Piedmont.

Largest German-speaking wine canton of Switzerland, 620 ha around the lake.
