The wine region of Franschhoek

The wine region of Franschhoek is located in the region of Coastal Region of Western Cape of South Africa. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Anthonij Rupert or the Domaine Holden Manz produce mainly wines red, white and sparkling. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Franschhoek are Cabernet-Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Merlot, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety.
