Côtes de Bordeaux AOC east of Entre-Deux-Mers (Dordogne banks, bastide of Sainte-Foy-la-Grande): Merlot signature red king (~65%) complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon (17%), Cabernet Franc (15%), Malbec (3%) — fleshy red fruits (plum, fig), spiced and toasted notes, beautiful supple and round tannic structure ideal for ageing. Sémillon and Sauvignon in aromatic dry whites, some medium-sweet. Reds 3-7 years, whites 1-5 years.
